About Us
LECI History
LECI was pioneered by a Canadian priest, Father Raymond Roy (shown right), who asked himself the question: "What is the biggest issue in the world today?" The answer he came to: Families. The first LECI workshop was given in Paraguay and was later brought to Puebla, Mexico, its current headquarters. In the 1990s, LECI traveled across countries again, this time to the U.S. In 2008, LECI officially established itself as a non-profit organization in the U.S.A.
About the Presenters
Horacio Cortes
Horacio is the Executive Director of LECI Inc. He has diverse experience serving as a clergyman for a catholic ministry in Mexico, as a director of a middle school in Veracruz, and as a therapist for over thirty years. in 2016, Horacio joined LECI and leaded the cause in United States, picking up where the Founding Father, Raymundo Roy, l

He currently lives in San Bernardino, CA, with his lovely wife, Aracely Nuño.
Javier Cuevas
Javier studied psychology at the University of California, San Diego. He was part of the K-12 education system in San Diego for 1 year, serving as a teacher's aide, private tutor, and middle-school teacher. In 2024, Javier was recruited by Horacio, with the aims of giving LECI workshops to adolescents. Javier currently resides in Riverside, CA.
